Blank

Blank
By dan ankers

In many ways I may be just a table that the universe is tapping a beat on
And I can record these beats, so I’m living
And I can interpret these beats, So I’m human
I choose how deep I want to go, these wavelengths are me and I am them
As we ascend and intertwine
We are divine
And we cannot
Unmesh and yet we cannot and can never
Be one and the same

Inspire

Inspire
By dan ankers

Crawling, Walking, Running, Climbing
Asking
Strained with beads of sweat
Ample answers, never ending
Lead to greater questions Yet
Talking, Toiling
Frustrations Boiling
Inquiring Askers NEED to KNOW

But it’s  best to learn, remember
To develop patience though

Seeking, Searching for some knowledge, which fills the mind like fishes caught
And inspires the neXt Volley of questions
All Firing AT THE SPEED OF THOUGHT

Float Foot

Float Foot

I had shoes on yesterday
Well that was good, they padded my way
And I was Lucky for them, too
At least four of my toes can attest that it’s true
And my heel in lieu of a wheel
Is the best way I’ve found
To just get around

Well Splendid my feet
This athlete, complete
Carry all of my needs
And accomplish all of my deeds
Well, with the help of hands
And my Brain’s general demands
As it stands

I do think that everything in the world
Can be accomplished
Struggle Hard

Blank, This Page

Blank, This Page
By dan ankers

Blank this page as it was, as it were
As it heard from itself
Unaware
As it was only a page and was blank by itself
Waiting only for ink and some care
And in taking this time with some human in mind
Now this page has fulfilled its desire
To be more than a page
To transcend from this stage
And live through
And move on
And inspire
See
When page weds with words
The result is a merged
Place where a mind can make fire
And in the cauldrons of time
Words enacted desire
So that the especially astute may be permitted to move
From a frog to a god
From a pond to a cloud
And from heaven look down
And from earth to look up
And in one fitting move
As is fitting behooves
To overthrow their inconstant
Quagmire

Uneven Waves for Days

Uneven Waves for Days

Has anyone ever actually seen a happy tree?
All of them spire up from the ground to meet the skyward sea
Every one of them looks to get fed, enriched, with light from the sun so bright
And then under the dark of the moon pretend that their shadows encased the whole of the night
Can anyone else in the world envision a place where I am free to be me?
Because outside the borders of meself I remain only a frog on a leaf
Which is fitting enough of a place for my mess, as the world neither gathers nor grows
As it tries, does its best to ingest the ideas I explore without rest or repose
Of the smiles which I’ve seen, I’ve Adored Emily’s and Carson and Luke’s there, for free
And Ariah’s inspires such wonderful thoughts as a spirit so strong and so free
There are many good times which in mind can I dine if I need to recall my good station
And I love just the world for itself and its dirt and the sea for its myriad crustaceans
But this time I have seen that the walk here for me one this earth is a waddle of pleasure
As I ask of the world to expect no less from me
Than what I can give without measure
And that, as you see is just me precious me
I have oodles of this
This precious treasure

BARK

BARK
By dan ankers

Peaceful elegance is not addressed
The nouns and vowels with good intent
Pent up Demand
That I must subvert the governmental hand
That has been laid out
Held open
Like the Flower Petals
Pretty

Really Signifying Death
