Inspiration trumps my reason every time, and left alone I feed the dark thoughts of my mind

It’s a habit left from “way back when,” or another way to say this would be

When I watched the devil grin

I’m relieved now, in the wake of years past

And yet I long sometimes for that evil freedom, when I lacked a center mass

And all was empty, gloriously so

I long for this, I do at times
