The Origins of Imaginative Thought
by dan ankers
Within the human mind
A complex arena
Composed of twisted vines
Elegantly Angled
To form a type of construct
Intelligently Wrangled
There lies a type of though
Extravagant and mangled
That’s wonderfully out of reach
To the Ignorant and Hobbled
By all the things of life
That only mirror their thoughts.
The fire of creation
Some have called it thus
Is Irrigating our thoughts
And some have thought it less
But those who know can tell you
That this world is not what it seems
And everything you now see as facts
Once lived inside of dreams.
