The Blossom of the Wolf
By dan ankers
The power of the wolf would seem to be in its teeth
Or the breadth of her strides across the forest floor
But only the Power of Love, Combined with the Purest of Hearts
Could show the Lost of Mankind, How to open Heaven’s door!
With great leaps she has driven!, vaulting continents
And with flurries of love she’s e’er lowered her walls
When others hid behind and denied
Knowing the privileged among them withheld from the poor!
Lobo, the she-wolf would serve them her share
And she fought for them all, tearing bellies with claws
And gave to them, watching their little ones grow brave and strong
She chose to honor the will of her father, by defending the weak from the
Jaws of the Wrong
And thus her will
Her Lot in Life
Was to always ’Represent the Strays’
And so she did
And so she set herself up
Until her dying days
Which were graceful in beauty and awesome
In sight
and
When she left the world
It was as a hero
In peaceful array
And leaving the earth
She could hear the angel whispers in her ear
“Stay calm, little hero”
As last of her worries did fade away…
And then she awoke
and she found
An everlasting place
Where the Rich kids and the Poor kids and the Animals played
Eternally in peace
With no need for the beast
Or the rage
She was truly home now among the stars and the clouds and the sound of the
breeze
