You would chain the sky and drain the sea
All in the name of safety
You would block the rivers and soften the light
All in the name of your fearful plight
You would tame the animals, the people too
All in the name of keeping you
(Cause let's face it, that's really what this is all about)
Feeling good in your wholesome tomb
As long as these things happen in your sight
It matters not that others have to fight
To see the sky
To wet their lips
To taste the freedom, inherent this, to all the people's
By virtue of being human
The freedom too, to live this terrible delusion
