Lego City

Lego City
by dan ankers

The process, becoming one with my mind
Lateral viewing, with some sequential steps
Acknowledging the master, time
Physics laws and cosmic depths

Buffeting me around for days

Improvisational symphonies, as the mind sways
To my innumerable thoughts, the strays
So many more to count than my own breaths
Or memories composed in cogent sets
Allowing me no peace, and I can never once even rest

Only reconfigure, out of necessity
At best

My favorite bone
A ball is thrown
I, return to this place, always, in my thoughts
With no intentions, of ever truly leaving here
I hang my hat, and my perceptions cart me off
As my reasons try to find some peaceful residence

This process is a perverse pleasure, I must confess

A torn asunder
Never ending
Complex issue
Conscious rendering
Of the universe
I am always assembling
