The Quiet Plague
by dan ankers
Our open hands drew them in willingly
As we spoke oily words
Meant to coax
All the women and the men
In to the quietus of submission
(what a joke)
Truth being what it absolutely is
It wasn't so hard to do at all
Cause their baubles and electronic toys
And highly sexualized young girls and boys
Lined them up, already poised to fall
Like a million even rows
Of tiny spoon-fed dominoes
Just another rampaging pestilence, set loose through the street
Only this time rats don't spread this plague, at all
It's the elite.
