anger blood
by dan ankers
I was born with different kind of fuel
been that way since I was two
actually in the womb
where I was made
chemicals and such did coalesce
filling me, an infant, with a certain type of gas
which causes often pains within my chest
enraging my soul at things which shouldn’t be
but also, often slights are all I know
and must be handled; firm but patiently
I’m thankful for the wrongs that I can’t stand
I’m thankful that I am that type of man
Overall I wish they would not exist
But if someone has to handle them
why not me?
I am that type of man
I live that type of life
It’s not a glorious one
but it’s the only one I like
and I’m glad everyone’s not like me
because butting heads is all this world would be
