Unfinished 2
I told a tale of life; it wasn’t simple
I sold a bill of sale that wasn’t true
I stole a sip of wine that had a price
I pledged an oath of love I thought was due
Turns out.. Twas was not for you
Tried on so many heads but lost my own
I grew a million hearts which had no home
I bit with lions teeth which had no shine
And broke within my mouth I came to find
I’ve played so many part but yet not mine
The flowers on my gravestone
are for a man I haven’t met
My soul’s a work in progress;
I must admit
I walk along the seashore with
arms unreasonably full
of baubles I’ve collected
and
Simply because...
They looked ”Cool”
