I once
by dan ankers
Sat me down beneath a tree
Bushy boughs of greenery
Were my verdant covering
While thine rays shone down on me
Attitude of frequent thoughts
Streaming from Olympic heights
Paragon of mortal mind
Blessed above
and Blessed below
A million slinking shadows bear
a whisper
an idea, falls from time
Me thinks these shadows bear a lot of sin
to make up for the things; done in the sun
