How many leaves on the orange tree?
How sweet the nectar
from its flame colored flower,
As it passes down life from its boughs ?
How strong the root
and How great its presence upon the
Earth,
Where everything that is known
takes shape,
Whether fastened or loosed,
Whether alive or inert,
(and ultimately, nothing is inert)
whether of heaven or of this earth
How sweet!
How sweet the nectar, of that flower!
whose enlivening juices
freshen the spirit
of that life,
else it falls down
flat
and permeates the
turf
