It’s got to be a sin
to walk around like that
And if it’s not
it’s grinding me down
Either way, my whole life’s on display
and if our worlds would collide
the landscape would be different
For both of us
the ocean
would just open up
and from its mouth would issue wind
moving the world to spin
like an order to its chaos
place us
at the apex of humanity
all of us really
are worthwhile with no vanity
the fat and the slim
the joke and the grim
it all bleeds
out
